Premium Services · Goldenseal X Reframe Lab
(Coming in June 2026!) Climate disruption is already reshaping costs, supply chains, and customer behavior across every sector. Every one of those disruptions carries both a risk and an opportunity. This workshop starts where your Goldenseal reports leave off — turning your data into a plan for what you need to protect and what you can build on the other side.
Registration opens soon.
An action plan you complete during the session and take home. It works both sides of climate disruption — what to protect, and what to build on the other side of the risk. It includes:
Michelle Hobbs
Opening & One-Word Check-In
Meet your cohort and facilitators and get grounded in why this work matters. Share a one-word check-in about how your Goldenseal reports landed for you. This sets the tone: honest, personal, and focused on what's actually showing up in your business.
Michelle Hobbs
From Data to Story
Turn your Goldenseal reports into a clear story about your business. You'll reflect on your own first, then move into a breakout pair to talk through what surprised you, what confirmed what you already knew, and what felt urgent. By the end of this segment, you'll have your top three asset-hazard pairs mapped from your Horizon Scan data.
Peter Plumeau
Risk Estimation — Making It Real
Learn how to think about risk in a way that's practical, not paralyzing. You'll complete a Risk Characterization Matrix that places your asset-hazard pairs on a probability-by-magnitude grid, showing you on a single page where to focus first. A short group debrief at the end surfaces where your picture looks different from others in the room.

From Risk to Action — Both Sides of the Disruption
The heart of the workshop. You'll do the work in two moves. First, draft two or three "Best Bets" — priority resilience investments to protect what matters most. Then flip the coin: for each of your top climate risks, name the opportunity hiding on the other side — the new customer, capability, or market position the disruption is creating. You'll share both sides with the room and see what patterns emerge.

Accountability & Next Steps
Turn your plan into something that actually happens. Name two 30-day commitments — one defensive action to protect against your top risk, one opportunity move to act on the other side. Share who you'll be accountable to and how you'll check back in.

Closing Circle
Close the loop. Share one word for how you feel now compared to the word you opened with. You'll leave with your action plan, your 30-day commitment, and a cohort of peers who are doing this work alongside you.
This workshop is delivered in partnership between Goldenseal Resilience and Reframe Lab. Peter Plumeau and Michelle Hobbs lead the climate resilience content, drawing on Reframe's experience using human-centered design thinking to address climate change challenges. Lisa Churchill facilitates the integration of participants' Goldenseal assessment reports into the live working sessions and accountability planning.

Do I need to complete my Goldenseal reports before attending?
All you need to do is complete a 5-minute survey and download your Resilience Snapshot and Inside View. A week before the webinar, we'll send you a complimentary Horizon Scan report. This provides climate hazard data for your geography and sector-specific disruptors for your business. Reviewing all three before is what makes the 90-minute working session possible.
Is this a risk-management workshop or an opportunity-finding workshop?
Both — and that's the whole point. Goldenseal's core frame is that every disruption carries both a risk and an opportunity, and most small businesses are only equipped to see the risk side. The workshop's action plan has you protect what matters most, and then deliberately flip the coin on each of your top risks to surface the opportunities on the other side. You leave with commitments on both fronts.
What if I'm not sure what climate hazards apply to my business?
Your Horizon Scan report does that work for you. It identifies the climate hazards most relevant to your sector and location, so you'll arrive with the data you need. During Module 1, Peter and Michelle walk you through how to read that data as a narrative about your business.
Will there be breakout coaching?
Yes. During the risk estimation and action planning modules, facilitators rotate through breakout rooms to provide 1-on-1 coaching as you complete your matrix and build your "Best Bets." This is why we limit group size.
What if my climate risks feel overwhelming?
That's a common and legitimate response. The workshop is designed to hold that emotional reality, not dismiss it. The opening and closing circles are built around the principle that this work is personal as well as operational. The matrix exercise exists precisely so you don't have to act on everything at once — it shows you where to focus first.
What happens after the workshop?
You'll leave with a completed Climate Resilience Action Plan and your 30-day commitments. Optional 1-on-1 follow-on coaching is available to help you execute your plan as conditions evolve.
What do I need to bring?
Your three Goldenseal reports — the Resilience Snapshot and Inside View you downloaded after the survey, plus the complimentary Horizon Scan we send a week before the session. A willingness to engage honestly, and ideally a second screen or printed copy of your reports so you can reference them while working in the live session.
Continue Your Work
Your action plan is a strong start. For participants ready to execute on their "Best Bets" and opportunity moves, Goldenseal offers optional 1-on-1 follow-on coaching to help you navigate implementation and adjust your plan as conditions evolve.
